elevateU SLE compliance training overview:
- The division of Student Life & Engagement (SLE) uses the Percipio elevateU system to provide and track essential training for health & safety compliance, human resources professional development, supervisors, technology systems and business procedures.
- Compliance training is required for some units before beginning your first shift and annually. SLE employees with recurring assignments must complete refresher training between January 1 and the divisional deadline of March 31 every year.
- Regular/full-time team members must also complete training in a separate system (Ability LMS) at different intervals for Relationship Violence & Sexual Misconduct (RVSM) awareness and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). RVSM or DEI training is not required for your first shift and is administered by the Office of Research Regulatory Support at orrs.msu.edu/train.
- Need assistance? Contact your supervisor.
Before you begin:
- Your login to elevateU will be activated one to three business days after your official hire and start date. You should receive a welcome email from noreply@percipiocompliance.com.
Didn’t receive it? Check your junk mail folder and add this address to your email contact list.
- You must have an activated MSU NetID. For information about NetIDs, contact your supervisor or visit netid.msu.edu).
Logging In:
- Regular/full-time team members can access the system through the Enterprise Business System (EBS) under the My Career & Training section, by selecting the elevateU Online Training tile.
- Student, temporary and on-call team members should go to https://elevateU.percipio.com on a computer or tablet (some training is not yet compatible with mobile phones).
The first time you visit the site, you may need to click the Log In button and use multi-factor authentication to log in with your MSU email address and password.
First time accessing the site?
You may be prompted to select a “role” that relates to your job title. If you are a student, temporary or on-call team member, the role you select will not have an impact, so you can type something generic like "Customer Service Representative." If you are a regular/full-time team member, the role you choose will impact the learning content you are offered. You can choose from a list of available roles from this Job Roles FAQ area. The second bullet point is "Where can I find a list of the job roles that Percipio supports?" Expand that question then click the link to access the PDF document of current job roles. The list of roles will be updated frequently.

- Site-specific: In addition to the online courses, you must complete a site-specific training where your supervisor (or designee) discusses your unit’s unique safety requirements, locations of Safety Data Sheets, emergency evacuation plans, ladder safety and other important information on a site-specific training checklist.
