Some optional and approved software is available for Mac computers through the JAMF Self Service application for team members to install.

Examples of optional software that is available for installation via Self Service include: Adobe Acrobat PDF readers, Camtasia, Dropbox, Kaltura Capture, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Okta Verify, Snagit, RStudio, and more.
In the example below, we will install ESET via JAMF Self-Service. The installation process is the same, regardless of which specific application that is being installed.
Installing Approved Software On Your Apple Computer Via Self Service
- Open Finder and navigate to Finder\Applications
- Open Self Service
- In the Self Service window that opens, find your desired application (in this example, ESET Endpoint Security) and select Install
- If you are taken to a sub-page for the application, as seen below, click the Install button again.
- The installation will begin. When the install is complete, the "install" button will change to "open" and "reinstall" buttons.
- Choose the "open" button to start the application you just installed.
- Test the software and confirm it is running correctly. Contact the DSS Service Desk if any further assistance is required at this point.
