Which Passwords to Use for Various Systems

As an MSU team member, you will receive an MSU NetID. This will be your login or username for many systems you access. However, the password you use may depend on the specific system. The below table groups systems by the password you must use upon login: RHS (for computers on the RHS network), MSU (for MSU NetID) and Independent (the password is unique to the system).

To change this RHS Network password, press the CTRL-ALT-DEL keys on an RHS computer, then click Change a Password and follow the prompts. Additional management of this password is available through the Password Self-Service system, listed below. To change your MSU NetID password, visit netid.msu.edu and click Change Password. These systems have unique ways to change your password. Contact the system administrator or the DSS Service Desk (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
